For those of you who go to school, this is your last day of term!
Now you can throw that uniform in the wash and not worry about it for a couple of weeks!

Today's book is a picture book by the talented author Onjali Q Rauf, in a similar vein to his older fiction book The Boy At the Back of the Class, comes The Girl at the Front of the Class.
It's a story about a new girl in class who doesn't talk to anyone and seems sad - we learn she's sad becuase she's had to leave her old home and start again somewhere new. And it's an uplifting story of her new classmates welcoming her into their group and friendships forming.

You saw me recommend this earlier in the year, so it shouldn't surprise you that I've chosen it for the Advent list!
As Pete the Badger learns to his cost, every tiny creature has a role and a place - getting rid of all of the teeny-tiny insects means the balance of the forest is ruined - no one to tidy up, no one to keep it clean, no one to pollinate the fruit....
